Brownfield Activity
The City of Utica intends to apply for a United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Brownfield Cleanup Grant for the property located at 1712 Erie Street. The application must be submitted no later than January 31, 2019. The draft application, including an Analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) is available for review and comment below. In addition, a copy of the legal notice that was published in the Observer Dispatch on Tuesday, January 15th. A public meeting will be conducted for the purpose of gathering public comment on the draft application at 11 AM on Friday, January 25, 2019. Comments may also be submitted to Brian Thomas, Commissioner of Urban & Economic Development, at bthomas@cityofutica.com subsequent to the public meeting and prior to the submission of the application.
