The City of Utica Department of Animal Control strives to ensure safe and healthy living for domestic animals and city residents. Animal cruelty, unreasonable pet ownership, and vicious animals are not tolerated by this department.

This department is responsible for carrying out the provisions of the NYS Agriculture and Markets Law, Articles 7 & 26, as well as all local municipal laws and ordinances promoting responsible  pet ownership and public safety.
