The Department of Public Works is responsible for filling potholes in our city streets. We are not responsible for maintaining cuts made by Niagara Mohawk, Regional Water Board or contractors. They must, by law, maintain the cuts in the road that they make. Road paving in our city is done under contracts issued through the city Engineering Department.
We request the public to contact the Public Works at 315-738-1341 to report the location of any pot holes they find in the city.
In regards to cut maintenance you can call the Upper Mohawk Valley Water Board at 315-792-0301 or Niagara Mohawk at 1-800-642-4272. If a contractor made a cut that needs to be repaired you can contact the City Engineering Dept. at 315-792-0152 as all cuts must be registered with the Engineering Dept.
