Under the direction of Commissioner David Short, the City's Demolition Dept. has had the daunting task of taking down and removing condemned and blighted houses and buildings throughout the city. By Utica having a Demolition Department here at the DPW, we have saved the taxpayers of our City several millions of dollars by doing it ourselves!
Our Utica Demolition Dept. has also assisted several other municipalities in our area by providing them with demolition services of abandoned properties thereby saving them money as well!
The Demolition Dept. also works under the direction of the City Codes Dept. and the Engineering Dept.
