The City of Utica is thrilled to announce that Santa Claus is returning to Bagg’s Square for the second consecutive year, bringing holiday cheer, community spirit, and festive fun to families throughout the month of December.

Each Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., leading up to Christmas, Santa and his team of cheerful Elves will be visiting Utica to meet children, take photos, and spread seasonal joy.

This year’s schedule includes special appearances by local fan-favorite sports teams and their mascots:

  • December 1 & December 22 – Santa will be joined by players from the Utica Comets and their mascot Naudie.
  • December 15 – Santa will be accompanied by players from the Utica City Football Club and their mascot Keeper.

During each visit, complimentary hot cocoa and candy canes will be available for all attendees. Athletes and mascots will also be on-site for photographs and autographs, adding to the excitement of these festive evenings.

“These events are complimentary and open to the public,” said city officials. “We’re proud to bring the community together once again to celebrate the holiday season in one of Utica’s most historic neighborhoods.”
