Assemblywoman Buttenschon & The City of Utica Break Ground on $2 Million Val Bialas Ski Center Snowmaking Upgrade Project
Please join Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon (119th District) and Mayor Michael Galime Monday for the groundbreaking of the $2 million renovation project at the Val Bialas Ski Center, marking a significant investment in the future of winter recreation in the City of Utica.
The project—funded through state support secured by Assemblywoman Buttenschon—will establish a new snowmaking system at the Ski Center – creating the ability for consistent snow production – something that has been dormant for years at the Val Bialas facility.
We will also be joined by Joe and Josh Amodio of New Age Hotrods to recognize their time and services donated to the City of Utica in repairing and restoring function to our chair lift, which in concert with new snow making will bring Val Bialas back to life.
Also in attendance will be the many dedicated city employees who have worked with the Administration to execute these vital revitalization efforts.
Endless thanks to Assemblywoman Buttenschon for providing the support that made this impact.
The official groundbreaking will take place on:
