Ring in the New Year Downtown with Bank of Utica

UTICA, N.Y. – Celebrate Utica with Bank of Utica, the City of Utica and its Public Safety Departments for a free New Year’s Eve event, featuring live music and entertainment.

Bank of Utica New Year’s Eve, presented with the City of Utica and its Public Safety Departments, is scheduled for Friday, December 31, from 7:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and will feature live bands, a magic show, a range of intermission acts, ice carving competitions, and horse and carriage rides. Attendees will also be able to enjoy Saranac beverages, as well as visit local bars and restaurants with special food and drink specials.

As midnight approaches, the Bank of Utica Tower will count down to 2022, followed by a dazzling fireworks display when the clock strikes 12.

“We are excited to be able to bring back to downtown Utica a free, public event that really highlights our love for the city and local communities,” said Barry Sinnott, Senior Vice President, Bank of Utica. “This year, we are thrilled to be able to offer additional entertainment on the newly renovated New York State office building plaza, including more family-friendly activities. We’re honored to once again have the opportunity to partner with the City of Utica and its Public Safety Departments for this event.”

Mayor Robert Palmieri stated, “The City of Utica and Bank of Utica’s New Year’s Eve party in 2019 was an incredible community celebration that exceeded all expectations. Unfortunately, the event had to be cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 protocols. Despite this setback, our community is resilient, and I’m excited to announce the City is once again joining forces with Bank of Utica to co-sponsor a downtown New Year’s Eve celebration that will be bigger and better than 2019.”

The Mayor continued, “I commend and thank Bank of Utica and the Sinnott family for their continued partnership, and invite everyone in the Greater Utica region to join us on New Year’s Eve to toast our great community spirit.”
