Detailed Plans Expected in Next Several Weeks
Mayor Robert Palmieri today announced Doyle Hardware Building has officially sold to Doyle Hardware, LLC, a group of reputable developers based in Syracuse, who also purchased and re-developed the former MetLife Building in the Utica Business Park in 2014.
The developers for the building are reviewing all options including potential commercial and residential development. Detailed plans for the building are expected to be announced in the next 6-8 weeks.
Mayor Palmieri stated, “I am thrilled to announce that a group of reputable developers the City has successfully worked with in the past purchased and will be redeveloping the Doyle Hardware Building. Coupled with the sale of Hotel Utica last week, downtown Utica is primed for growth our community hasn’t seen in generations.”
Jeff Foster of Summit Realty Management stated, “On behalf of the Members of Doyle Hardware, LLC , we are happy and excited to have officially purchased the Doyle Hardware Building. Mayor Palmieri was supportive throughout the entire process and we appreciate his efforts in making Utica a great community to invest in.”
