MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCES MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT

 

Mayor Robert Palmieri today announced the redevelopment of the former Utica Steam Cotton Factory, an anchor building in downtown Utica located at 600 State Street.  

 

The facility, which is in close proximity of the future Mohawk Valley Health System

(MVHS) Medical Campus, is being renovated by Lahinch Group, LLC, based in Syracuse.  

 

The renovation is scheduled to be complete in 2021 and will provide attractive commercial space and continue the positive transformation of downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. 

 

In addition, the building will offer the following; 

 

  • Class A Medical & Commercial Space (3,000 – 40,000 sf available)
  • Food & Beverage Space (1,500 – 10,000 sf available)
  • On-site parking
  • Historic features including natural brick, post and beam construction and 9’ windows - Amenities such as a fitness center, tenant lounge and on-site storage
