Statement from Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri

It is sad to announce that Mike Fanelli, a 44-year employee of the City of Utica’s sign shop, passed away over the weekend after a battle with cancer.

Mike was a talented and hardworking employee, but most importantly, a great person.

Mike will be missed by his family, co-workers and the entire Utica community.

In honor of Mike’s service to the City of Utica, flags will be flown at half-staff at all City facilities until Friday, February 2nd.
