MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCES COMPLETION & GRAND OPENING OF THE BLEECKER

Mayor Palmieri today announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting of THE BLEECKER, a renovation and revitalization project of 662-666 Bleecker Street.   The project was developed by Utica Revital LLC.

THE BLEECKER is a transformational project that will create a mixed use building, consisting of 15 apartments, a business/meeting center for short term rentals, two restaurants and a barbershop.

The apartments will consist of six 2-bedroom and nine 1-bedroom units.  A lot of the work for the building was done by local businesses.  The investment into the project is over $500,000.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “It is exciting to witness such positive change in our City.  I thank David Friedman for his vision and investing in Utica.  The complete renovation and revitalization of this building is symbolic of how far Utica has come over the past several years.”

The Mayor continued, “This project will be a great addition to the east Utica neighborhood and will enhance the quality of life for our residents.

David Friedman of Utica Revital LLC stated, "We want to restore Utica to its former grandeur.  THE BLEECKER is part of the transformation of the city to a place where people feel comfortable and invited.  The renovation of the property at the corner of Bleecker and Mohawk Streets is making downtown upscale."
