In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to install signage at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to install a 2’ x 12’ (24 sf) LED illuminated aluminum and plexi-glass box sign.  The sign will be installed on the awning of the property over the entrance of the business.  The sign will be white with red and green lettering.  The sign will read “711 Smoke Zone.”

 

The Scenic and Historic Preservation Commission spoke with the applicant at the Commission meeting in September and asked that the applicant provide more details for the proposed sign and submit a rendering or a shop drawing from the sign manufacturer.

 

The applicant has submitted a new sign proposal which the letter set is 16” high and 12 ft wide; script font style, channel letter LED; red return, lime green faces, white raceway channel set illuminated letters over the storefront.  The sign reads 711 Smoke Zone.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to install signage at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to install a double sided 4’ x 2’6” polymetal sign between two 5’ high posts.  The sign will be white with blue lettering and gold accents.  The sign will read “Renovatio Aesthetics & Wellness” and will include the logo at the top of the sign.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to make exterior improvements at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to demolish an existing shed at the far edge of the driveway and construct a 26’ x 30’ two story attached garage.  This will be attached to the existing house by a breezeway type entry. 

 

The exterior materials for the proposed garage will be:  the foundation will be a cultured stone veneer; vinyl windows and vinyl sliding glass doors; vinyl shutters; vinyl clapboard siding on the body of the garage and vinyl shake siding on the peeks of the garage; two aluminum overhead doors; asphalt shingle roof; and concrete stairs with aluminum railing systems.  All of the exterior materials will match the existing house.

 

The applicant is also proposing to demolish and reconstruct the existing stone retaining wall.
