In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to install a fence at the above referenced property. 

 

The applicant is proposing to install a 5’ high black wrought iron open style fence in the front yard.  The proposed fence will extend off of the smallest bump out edge on the side of the home and enclose the side/rear yard.   The fence will be similar to the decorative wrought iron detail on the front of the home.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to make exterior improvements at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to paint the exterior of the house white.  The house currently is a shade of grey/blue.  The moldings/trim will be scraped and repainted white.

In accordance with the requirements contained in Section 2-29-294 of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Utica, the applicant is seeking approval of a Certificate of Appropriateness in order to install signage at the above referenced property.

 

The applicant is proposing to install a double sided LED message center for GPO Federal Credit Union.  Header portion of the sign will be fabricated from aluminum with a white polycarbonate face, internal LED’s and translucent graphics with the logo.  The bottom portion of the sign will house LED message boards attached to a steel frame covered with an aluminum skin.  The bottom tan cladding will be fabricated from aluminum substrate.

The applicant had the opportunity to modify the proposal to reflect the advice of the Commission members to include a little more solid grey between the LED screen and the white illuminated area of the sign so they are distinctly different elements.  The base color is the original color as proposed. They have incorporated the grey, cream and white colors from the building on this proposal for the sign.
