MAYOR PALMIERI ANNOUNCES 15,000 RAISED FOR LOCAL BREAST CANCER PATIENTS

Mayor Palmieri today announced his annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon, which took place in October at Daniele’s at Valley View, raised over $15,000 for The Breast Care Center of Mohawk Health System, an organization that serves breast cancer patients in our community. The $15,000 is the highest amount the luncheon has ever raised.

The luncheon was sponsored by Excellus, PJ Green and The Louis and Linda Leogrande Charitable Foundation. Judith Vicks Sweet was the guest speaker.
Nearly 300 people attended the luncheon and over 60 raffle baskets were donated by individuals, businesses and organizations.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “I thank everyone who came out and supported this worthy cause and made it our most successful luncheon to date. The event is humbling and it’s amazing to meet and learn from so many strong people who represent the best of our community.”
