NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON

PROPOSED INTRODUCTORY LOCAL

LAW NO. 2 OF 2020

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Mayor of the City of Utica on the 16th day of April, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in the forenoon concerning Introductory Local Law No. 2 of 2020.

A LOCAL LAW PARTIALLY SUSPENDING

THE PROVISIONS OF UTICA CITY CHARTER

SECTION 7.003, subd. (a) BY REDUCING THE AMOUNT

REQUIRED BUDGETARY APPROPRIATION FOR

CONSTRUCTION, ETC. OF STREETS

            BE IT ENACTED by the Common Council of the City of Utica,

            Section 1:      The provisions of Subdivision (a) of Section 7.003, of the Utica City Charter are hereby suspended for fiscal year 2020-2021 to the extent that the required appropriation for construction of streets and other purposes stated therein shall be reduced from $5,000,000 to $3,000,000.

            Section 2:      This local law shall become effective in accordance with Municipal Home Rule Law.

            Said Public Hearing shall be held in the Common Council Chambers.  However, due to COVID-19 and the restrictions in place, the general public will not be permitted to attend in person at the hearing.  Therefore, the public can email clerk@cityofutica.com and provide a written statement/comment that will be presented at the meeting and submitted into the record.  Comments must be email by April 15, 2020 by 3:30 p.m., otherwise they will not be included in the record.
