NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON

PROPOSED INTRODUCTORY LOCAL

LAW NO. 1 OF 2020

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held before the Mayor of the City of Utica on the 9th day of April, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. in the forenoon concerning Introductory Local Law No. 1 of 2020, which reads as follows:

A LOCAL LAW AMENDING

SUBDIVISIONS (a) and (b) OF

THE UTICA CITY CHARTER SECTION 2.024

            WHEREAS, it is in the best interest for the City of Utica to compensate both the Comptroller and the Mayor to a level comparable to neighboring cities.

            BE IT ENACTED, by the Common Council of the City of Utica that Subdivisions (a) and (b) of Utica City Charter Section 2.024 are hereby amended to read as follows:

            Section 2.024 Salaries – Generally.

• The City Comptroller shall receive an annual salary of $80,500.

• The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of $93,500.

BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, this Local Law shall be effective 45 days after it is adopted.

Said Public Hearing shall be held in the Common Council Chambers.  However, due to COVID-19 and the restrictions in place, the general public will not be permitted to attend in person at the hearing; therefore all persons interested in the subject matter thereof can submit their comments via email to City Clerk Melissa Sciortino at mrsciortino@cityofutica.com by April 8, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. and same will be heard concerning the same.
