The City of Utica Municipal Civil Service Commission serves as the civil service agency for all divisions of government in the City of Utica, including the Golf Commission, Municipal Housing Authority and the Utica City School District.

The Civil Service Commission meets on the third Tuesday of every month in the Civil Service Office, City Hall, 1 Kennedy Plaza, Utica. All meetings begin at 9:00AM and are open to the public.

Most positions in city government are classified as competitive, which means participation in a civil service examination is required. For information regarding upcoming examinations, please click on the examination announcements to the left.
