1.     MARRIAGE LICENSES
For a marriage license, the couple brings driver's licenses, birth certificates, and previous divorce decrees if applicable.  The couple must obtain license al least 24 hours, but not more than 60 days, before their wedding.  Cost is $40.00.  Both must be over 18 years old to marry without parent's consent.

2.     MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE
To obtain a certificate by mail the City Clerk must receive: names of bride and groom, date of wedding, copy of driver's license and $10 money order made payable to City Clerk.  Only the husband or wife may obtain certificate.

3.     DOG LICENSE
The owner must bring in current rabies certificate and copy of the spaying or neutering certificate, if applicable.  All dogs over four months old must be licensed.  Cost for neutered or spayed dog is $12.50; unneutered or unspayed dog is $20.50 and license is renewed every year.

4.     HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES
To purchase a hunting license, hunter must present proof of residency, such as driver's license, and proof of eligibility - a previous license or a Hunting Training Certificate.  To purchase a bowhunting, muzzleloading, archery or trapping license, the hunter must present proof of eligibility - a previous applicable license or certificate.  Persons applying for hunting who are 14 or 15 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian.  Minors under age 16 may fish without a license.

5.     VENDING LICENSE
The vendor must bring in their sales tax number and complete application.  Those vendors selling food must first obtain certificate from Oneida County Health Department.  Cost for food vending license is $100 per year; all others are $500 per year.

6.     COMMISSIONER OF DEEDS APPLICATION
The person applying for Commissioner of Deeds must complete an application form; the cost is $5.00.

7.     ALARM REGISTRATION
All alarms, whether business or residential property, must be registered.  The cost is a one-time $25 registration fee.

8.    TOW TRUCK LICENSE
The cost of the application fee is $25, rotation fee is $75.  Additional trucks are $5 each.  The tow truck owner is issued certificate with vehicle ID numbers; licenses are for two years.

9.    THEATER LICENSE
Theater licenses are issued every January to theaters.  The annual cost is $100 per screen.

10.    LIQUOR LICENSE
Business owner applying for liquor licenses, or renewing liquor licenses with New York State, must notify the City Clerk in writing.

11.    BINGO, GAMES OF CHANCE, RAFFLE/BELL JAR LICENSES
A not-for-profit agency must contact New York State Racing and Wagering Board for an identification number.  With further questions, contact our office at 792-0113.

12.    TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE
An applicant must provide name of firm represented, address, description of the nature of the business and place where the applicant proposes to sell merchandise.

13.    AUCTION LICENSE
An applicant must provide name, address and location where auction is to be held.  Also an inventory of articles to be auctioned must be provided.

14.    CABARET LICENSE
Cabaret license provides permit for musical entertainment, singing, dancing, comedy shows or other forms of amusements, in private clubs, restaurants, bars and cafes.

15.    GOING OUT OF BUSINESS LICENSE
Applicant must provide owner's name, address, location of sale and date of proposed sale.  The license is valid for thirty consecutive calendar days.
